Good Bye 2012! HELLO 2013!

The drive home went great. We made it home in 13 hours and that was with two 1 hour stops.  Eric must have been speeding.  Brooklyn was sick and the rest were getting sick.  (Colds).  So we went straight home instead of stopping at Grandma's for the night.  It was nice to be home.  We had such a nice time in Washington with Eric's Family.  It was a fabulous week. We miss them already.  A big THANK YOU to Mom and Dad for arranging and taking care of everything for us. It was worth the drive to see everyone. I wish we lived closer. We are all spread apart now.  So it really is nice and rare that we got together twice this year.

New Years Eve was uneventful. I went shopping for the day in Santa Rosa by myself.  FABULOUS and RELAXING!  And then we didn't feel too great so we just layed in bed and watched the New Years Eve in New York.  Very uneventful and boring.  Poor Brooklyn woke up on New Years Day and was disappointed that she slept through it all, but she was sick and needed to sleep. She didn't miss much.

So GOOD BYE 2012 and WELCOME 2013!

Christmas Gifts

Coombs Family Subway Art
For my mom...she has already asked me about adding new names. Hehe
I took one of my dad's pictures of him water skiing and I made him a custom logo.  His ski boat name is "Let's Go"  I made the "C" to stand for Coombs.  Anyone who knows my dad would recognize him from the logo.  It looks just like him!  I am happy the way the logo turned out.  I looked and looked for blank ski flags but couldn't find any..so annoyed by the ugly man in the corner.  Oh well...I will keep looking or maybe have my mom sew one.
Sunset photo from Lake Powell...haven't printed this yet.
I saw this idea on Pinterest. I loved the idea.  I knew it would work  for me to get everyone to take the photo, but I think it is worth it.  It turned out cute.  My mom really likes it.  She also likes that she can update it as the families grow.  Pretty cute idea...thanks Pinterest!
Eric's brother had the idea of making a throw blanket with our family pictures on it for his parents for Christmas. I helped format the picture.  The blanket turned out great.

I enjoy creating my own gifts for others.  I think it makes Christmas a little more special!

The Beach...

The beach was a fun adventure each time we went out.  It was very cold, windy and rainy at times.  But that doesn't stop the kids from chasing the waves, finding dead animals and feeding the birds. Good times on the beach!  You can even drive on this beach.  Pretty neat. We tried to drive the van on it, but it was wet and we were afraid of getting stuck.

Traci and I photo bombed their picture...lol!

Fun times at the beach...or NOT!
We were walking around the beach and all of a sudden, I felt wet liquid on my face and on my chest...yep a bird took a dump on me. Fun times on the beach! It was really gross. Everyone thought Ryder threw up on me...but then quickly realized it wasn't throw up.

Eric laughing at me...well trying not to...but he couldn't help it.  I didn't think it was too funny.

BINGO, Swimming and cousin fun!

We played BINGO and it was a lot of fun. Grandma brought TONS AND TONS of prizes...and awesome ones might I add.  The kids got an electric scooter, Nerf guns, Shaking "Cars" cars, stuffed animals, shoes, clothes, candy machine, rockets and I got an electric pressure cooker..sweet! I am so excited!!!!!

Easton had a great time playing his new games with his cousins.
The kids loved going swimming...even if it was freezing outside.  The heated pool was enough to keep them going and going.  They loved it.

.
Had fun at the local arcade!  Even played some laser tag. Kids loved that place.

Oh boy!

Somebody gave this kid an ice cream. (Daddy)
And he loved every lick!

Portland and OMSI Museum!

Wednesday we decided to take an adventure and go to Portland for the day.  It was a couple of hours driving, but it was nice to do something there with the kids.  We had lunch and then headed to the OMSI science museum.  It was great! I thought it was very interesting and kept the kids going and going.  We didn't even see most of it and the kids could have played in some areas for a longer time.  Especially the sand and water...Cooper!  They had the Grossology exhibit there and it was really neat.  Some very gross and interesting things.  After the museum we went to Olive Garden for dinner...My favorite and also Traci's.  We have a lot in common.  It was fabulous.  We then headed back to the coast.  (Easton chose to stay back and play with the cousins...so that's why he isn't in any pictures.  But he had a great time playing on the beach, doing a scavenger hunt and going out for ice cream)
