Brooklyn's Baptism & Cooper's Blessing!

Brooklyn's Baptism!!! What a beautiful day it was!  We had so many friends come to support her on her special day..it was sweet.  Brooklyn loved it and was very excited to get baptized. Not scared at all.  She had been sick a couple of days before with a fever. I am glad she felt better for her special day.  Besides the actual baptism, my favorite part was when Brooklyn sang her special musical number, "When I am baptized."  She did such a beautiful job.  It was really cute and I teared up.  I will post the video soon.

Brooklyn and Cooper...what a special weekend for them both.

Eric and his dad before everyone came.

Picture time...I have to take every picture possible...sorry for the picture overload.

Easton made me laugh...he was posing.  He didn't want to be left out.  What a guy.
Daddy and Brooklyn. Sweet photo.

My Parents with Brooklyn.

Eric's parents with Brooklyn

My poor mom had bird droppings land on her. She was a great sport..I would have freaked out.
Beautiful Family, Right?  Can't imagine our family without Cooper..such a great addition.

One of my favorites. So proud of her.

Her table I put together.

Daddy and Brooklyn right before the baptism.

Mommy and Brooklyn just after the baptism.  I was trying not to cry while she was being baptized...but it was hard. I was tearing up pretty good. It was very special.

Cooper's Blessing Photographs. (We cheated and did them Saturday...it was nice to do all the pictures in one shot!)

The priesthood men..and future one. Again he didn't want to be left out.

All of us!  What a special day!

My favorite of Daddy and Cooper.  I love how Cooper is touching his face.  Cooper didn't want to take photos but with the help of Julie Wilson he was content for a few minutes. Thanks Julie...I am so glad we have this one.  So cute.
Cooper was blessing the following day during church.  It was a beautiful blessing done by his daddy. Lots of great blessings.  He wore the same blessing outfit that Easton did.  Easton was only 5 days old and Cooper 4 1/2 months. Crazy...but when I pulled it out it was all pinned up for Easton.  So I took out the pins and it was perfect for Cooper.

Grandparents Weekend...

What a fun and exciting weekend we had with Both Grandparents.  Both sets came for Brooklyn's Baptism and Cooper's Blessing. (Pictures to come) Which were very special events...but we also celebrated Easter, Birthdays and had fun!
Easton, Cooper and Grandpa Rod

Daddy took the day off to spend with the family..he spent the whole day working on his car with his dad.  He loves to weld.
Easter Egg Hunt with the 250 eggs Grandma Jo brought.  The kids were in egg heaven.

Grandma Jo and Cooper...nothing like holding a sleeping baby!
Our boat playhouse is gone...one of the neighborhood kids stood on the roof and it calapsed...so because of the danger factor we got rid of it.  This is Eric pulling it out with his truck.
Good Bye...it's new home is at the dump.
 Birthdays...
Brooklyn got her first set of scriptures from Grandpa Rod and Grandma Jo.
Grandmommy and Papa gave her a hymn book and beautiful book mark that my mom made.
Easton wanted a real basketball..Papa and Grandmommy had fun shopping for that one.
And then Daddy gave him a Mario Bros shirt. He loved it.
And then the game he has wanted for a LONG time. Mommy finally gave in.
 That's one happy birthday boy!
They each got a birthday cake made from Grandma Jo.  Easton wanted a candy train on it.  They were cute and very delicious.  That was a lot of cake for 8 people.
Cooper just had to throw up on Grandmommy.  It was a good one.
Easton went golfing with Papa. It was the highlight of the weekend for him.  He has always wanted to go golfing but Eric isn't into golfing. Papa loves to golf so it was perfect.  And we even had the golf cart for him..isn't it cool!  I picked out the color of paint.  We still need to finish the roof.  Easton golfed with Papa for 8 holes and then came home when they passed our house.  One benefit of living on the golf course.
On Saturday afternoon, Brooklyn and mommy went with papa golfing again.  We rode in the golf cart and cheered him on.  We had a good time too.
It was a great weekend full of fun!  Papa had to fly home on Monday, so Grandmommy, Cooper and I dropped him off at the shuttle and then went shopping at the Napa outlets and then Cooper had his first set of shots.  And Grandmommy and I got shots too...for hooping cough and tetanus.  Fun times.

Grandmommy stayed until Thursday...and it was a good thing.  Eric was out of town for work in New Jersey and I got sick.  So sick..a bad cold/cough. It was horrible and I am still coughing 2 weeks later.  It was nice spending time with my mom though..we just hang out. She took care of Cooper and I rested.

Cooper and Grandpa...

Cooper and Grandpa Rod doing "crunches."  This video cracks me up...especially Grandpa's commentary. (I now see where Eric gets it from...at first I thought it was Eric)  Cooper will have a 6 pack in no time...he is so strong.

Bath Time!

Some Bath Cuteness!
Oh... I love this baby boy!

Can you see his tongue action...he loves this ball.
Cooper at 4 1/2 months

Easton Room...

I finally took a picture of Easton's Room.  I painted the stripes above his bed all around his room.  That was A LOT of work.  And a pain I will add.  There were a total of 5 stripes.  And touch ups too.  Stripes are hard to do..even with the special expensive tape.  The textured wall is what causes the problems.  I am happy with the end result.  I added the vinyl.  It is a fun room!  Only a few more things to do...like making the headboard, painting the dresser and closet organizer...someday!

PS...Target had this bedset for 75% off...I just couldn't resist.
It inspired me to finally decorate his room.  I like it!

Kids will be kids!

Enough said!

You would never catch me playing in muddy water...but these kids had so much fun.  It wasn't very warm...probably in the 70's. They were begging for towels by the end.  They have been asking every day since if they could play in the creek again..too bad the water is all gone!  I think we will take a few trips over to the real creek this summer.  They loved sliding down their mud slide too.  I do enjoy watching the kids have some "real" fun...these days kids just don't get muddy and dirty..they play the Wii!

Brooklyn's 8!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

WOW..I have an EIGHT Year Old!  Is that really possible? I guess it is.
She has been waiting for along time (8 years to be exact) to turn 8!  She has been so excited to turn 8 so she can be baptized.  What a special birthday!

On her birthday, I took a treat to class and after school we did an achievement days ice cream party for her to welcome her into the program. I made her manicotti (one of her favorites) for dinner.  And she opened a few presents from us.  She got "Tangled" (which we can't find since she opened it..it has disappeared), and then some cute clothes.(Picture is above..isn't that the cutest coat ever?  I love it..Eric not so much...but who asked him anyways!)  And a few other small items like a hair brush, bracelets, flipflops.

Brooklyn talking to Grandmommy on the phone..
I am sure she was singing her "special" birthday song to Brooklyn.
Brooklyn had a simple, fun party with a few friends.  I say a "few" because her original list had 25 girls on it...and I couldn't handle that.  So I made her narrow it down to 10 girls...which was really hard for her and me too. I let her do it even though I felt bad there were a few girls missing that I would have liked to be there.  It was her party so I figured she could pick her guests.

The girls painted a block and I put vinyl on it that said, "A DREAM is a wish your Heart makes."  Brooklyn wanted a tether ball party so it was outdoors and they played in the backyard.  They had snacks, cupcakes and opened presents.  I sent the girls on a scavenger hunt to find their good bags.  They liked that.
It was a fun bunch of girls.

A bunch of Silly Girls too!
Lacey, Brittany, Ashley, Makenna, Nikole, Brooklyn, Ari, Bella and Emily

Happy Birthday, Sweet Brooklyn!
We love you and can't wait for your baptism!  It will be a very special day!
