Brotherly Love!

Cooper loves his brother!  And I am so glad.  I had heard stories of sibling rejecting the new baby.  Cooper immediately loved his baby brother.  Probably a little too much love at times.

He loves to give Ryder kisses, hugs, he holds his hands out when he wants to hold him.  He goes and gets his blanket for him, even when he already has one or two. He gives him his binki, well he stuffs it in his mouth.  One day, Cooper felt like Ryder needed a bath, and dumped 4oz of cold water from my cup next to my bed on top of Ryder. Poor Ryder didn't like that.  I'm so glad he loves his little brother, they will be best little pals growing up... I am sure they will fight too but they will always love each other!

Ryder-1 month old

Ryder 1 month old

*He is a great baby, I can't complain.
* At 6 weeks he is over 10 lbs..yeah!
*He eats pretty well..as long as there is enough to eat...I've been working on that.
*He has my dimples and I LOVE them! He is so cute.
*He has one good poker face...he will just stare at you..no matter what you do to try to get him to smile.
*He hates his carseat.  He screams like a screeching cat.
*When he cries..HE CRIES!  And he wants to be picked up immediately and you know it. Once you pick him up, he stopped within one breathe.  He has us wrapped around his finger already.
*He loves to be held..but what baby wouldn't.  It's hard to get anything done, its a good excuse to have dirty dishes and pilled laundry I guess.
*He takes a bottle without any problems..probably too good.
*Has Eric's blue eyes coming..they are getting lighter and lighter each week...Love them!
*He doesn't spit up very much at all. He sleeps at night for 4 hour stretches. He wants to eat every 2-3 hours during day. I feel like that is all I do...is feed, feed, feed.  It's a good thing I have my iphone and the tv to keep my entertained.

He is adorable. He is perfect! We are in LOVE!

18 Month Boy!

Cooper's 18 months...and keeps us busy all the time!

Big Milestone...He sat down long enough for watch 10 seconds of a TV show. He never watches TV..not even in the car. He looks out the window instead...not a bad thing I guess.

I think he still wants to be like a baby at times.  He loves to swing..so why not?
 His favorite hide-n-seek spot.
Daddy spoiled him with a real ice cream treat after swimming.  Lucky boy!

This is what happens when sister is watching him. Poor kid won't like this picture when he grows up.
About Cooper at 18 months:
*He loves nursery!   (Daddy might love it more, now he gets to go to class)
*We have another "Yeller"  Easton was too.  He just yells if he wants something or just for fun.
*Not really talking yet..he says Dada, Momma, and Ya for yes.
*He is a picky eater and loves to throw his food on the floor.  He loves to feed himself, which makes it hard to control his food throwing habit.  To say the least, my kitchen floor is always a mess.
*Starting to enjoy books, it has taken awhile.  He loves his Peek-a-Boo book the most.  He also loves his Bear Book.
*He loves it when we say prayer.  He even started doing it in his bed.  He looks so cute when he folds his arms.
*No surprise here...HE LOVES DADDY the most!  He can't wait until daddy gets home.
*Loves shoes=loves outside.  When daddy gets home, he immediately finds his shoes so they can go outside or in the shop.
*Loves helping mommy water the flowers, dirt, rocks or cement.  He loves to get his own watering can and go to town.
*He loves cars and pushing them around on the floor. He still loves riding his tractor and now his rocking horse.  He loves throwing his balls...even at his brother.  He doesn't understand that Ryder is a little too young to play with him.
*He loves to play with buckles.  He gets out of his high chair and has to buckle it up, he buckles up Ryder's carseat or bouncer. He loves buckles..well not his carseat one.  He's not a fan of the carseat, so he doesn't like that buckle.
*He loves bike rides in the bike trailer.  Our friends gave us one, and it is getting lots of use.  Grandmommy and Grandma Jo took him on a bike ride almost every day.  It's a 2 seater, so once Ryder gets old enough, I am sure we will be going on many bike rides.
*Loves water. He loves to drink it, bathe in it, jump in it, spit in it, run in it.
*He is a strong kid. He can climb up 1/2 way up the counter, he loves to climb onto the table, he loves to get into everything.
*He is one lucky boy...story...I was making cookies and I checked them in the oven and went to do the dishes. I was only doing them for 10 seconds when I looked over and the oven door was open about a foot.  I immediately told Cooper to freeze and I ran over to shut it.  As I did, I noticed finger prints in my cookies...WHAT...he is sooo fast.  He opened it, put his fingers in the cookies, all without burning himself in 10 seconds.  He is a fast kid...I have to watch him ALL the time!

Cooper is Cooper...we love him!

Family Fun!

This last week we have had a few fun adventures out with the baby.  A parade and swimming at the lake!

Saturday was Middletown Days.  It was a HOT day, but luckily daddy got there before us and saved us a nice shady spot.  The parade was a lot of fun.

It's been so hot, we had to hit our little lake for some fun in the water. Cooper loved it.  He loves to play in the sand and get wet.
Brooklyn and her friend jumping off the dock.
 Ryder slept through the fun!

Easton was in Utah with Grandma for 3 weeks. So we enjoyed some time with Brooklyn!

Cooper Loves Tools, Trucks, and Ants!

It's no surprise how much Cooper loves to play with daddy...especially when daddy lets him do and play with whatever he wants. It's a good thing mommy isn't down there very much to spoil the fun.
Daddy...did you really let your child eat an ant???

Yucky Cooper!

Night at the Pool and Family Weekend

We had both set of grandparents come for Ryder's Blessing for the weekend.  They all arrived on Friday.  Mike came with my parents from Utah.  When Cooper woke up and came out he thought Uncle Mike was Eric. It was funny, he went and sat down right next to him.  Grandma Jo, Rod and Mike took the kids to the pool.  Cooper kept calling Mike "Daddy".  When Eric got off work, he went up to the pool as well.  Well...Cooper was confused.  He would look at both of them and not know which one was daddy.  Everyone thought it was funny, except for daddy.  He had is feeling hurt alittle bit.  For the first half hour, Cooper would only jump into the water to Mike and not to Eric.  He finally figured it out and warmed up to his real daddy.  Had to share the funny story!

Cooper loved the pool, especially jumping in!  We have another dare devil.  All my kids just love the water!

The rest of the weekend was filled with golfing with papa, visiting Eric's work, relaxing at home, cooking, eating, holding Ryder of course, games, making something special with daddy.  It was a weekend of relaxing and enjoying eachothers company.  It was perfect!
