Family Pictures 2012!

The whole reason we took photos was to take this photo for my moms Christmas gift! I will post about that gift soon.

Family Pictures are not a happy day in the Redford household. It is so much work getting ready for pictures. Eric hates them with a passion.  It is hard being the photographer and also being in the picture. We had a nice young lady in our ward snap the photos for me. I am pretty sure she saw a side of my family that surprised her.  Drama drama trying to get everyone to do what I saw and to put a smile on their faces.  They are definitely fake smiles, but at least we have a photo and we are all in it, right?  Next time...I am paying a photographer!!!

November November

A few photos...

Cooper after church! Sister Hanson wears him out!
I did a FHE on being THANKFUL! We started a thankful tree.  The kids wrote what they were thankful for but it only lasted a few days and them they told me they were done with it :(  So I wrote a bunch for myself, Coop and Ryder! We were at least thankful all month!
Well we did vote! Wish my vote could have done more for our country.  I was actually more involved and was excited for the possibility of having a good honest president.  I had some hope for our country.  Well it didn't work out...sad reality. Nothing good and honest can be victorious now days.  It is sad what is acceptable and everyone making bad things acceptable and normal.
I was driving home from work and I had a thought in my head that the van should be hitting 70K miles soon and I wondered how close it was.  I pushed the button to see and look what I saw!  No kidding.  What good timing! I couldn't believe. A thought turned into a reality.
This little guy makes me laugh. He knows what he wants and he won't stop until he gets it.  We don't eat outside of the kitchen. Family rule!  Except my kids are horrible at keeping it, especially when they have a babysitter. Rrrr.  Cooper one day went into the pantry and got animal crackers and started to run out of the kitchen. I told him he had to eat them in the kitchen and he wouldn't do it.  He was trying to tell me something but his talking is still minimal.  So I let him go and I followed him.  He went straight to his room and started to feed Brooklyn's bear.  As he fed the bear, he would make some awesome eating sounds.  I laughed. He knew what he wanted. He needed to feed the bear and he was going to do it. He fed him probably 10 crackers.
Ryder will suck on anything he can get his hands on!
Fall as officially hit us! A little late...one storm and look at those leaves!
My blue eyed boys! I love all my kids eyes! I am so glad they got their daddy's blue blue eyes!  And my dimples!

Hey...who is that handsome kid?

I love it when babies discover themselves.  Ryder loves to find himself in the closet mirrors.  He actually had a huge red spot on his forehead from hitting the mirror with his head so many times.

Turkey Day...Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy THANKSGIVING!

Thanksgiving was really nice this year.  I was suppose to go to Utah with Ryder and Brooklyn and spend the weekend with my family.  Eric wanted me to have a little break and it was a long weekend and the perfect time to do it. Well I got sick the weekend before and I had a bad feeling about going. It was really hard on me because I really miss Utah and my family and friends. Especially around the holidays.  I was sad I would miss Thanksgiving with Eric and the kids, but honestly our past Thanksgivings haven't been too great here.  Eric hates turkey, potatoes and gravy. So we usually do steak.  It doesn't feel like Thanksgiving. It feels like a day off work. Because it is so low key at home, Eric suggested I go.  We had it all planned, flights bought, babysitters taken care for Cooper.  Kathy and Jake even invited Eric up for Thanksgiving dinner.

It was really hard to make the decision not to go, but once I made it I felt a lot better.  It was really disappointing not to go, but sometimes you just have to listen to the spirit.  I will probably never know why I had that feeling (except there was a lot of sickness that weekend in Utah...so at least I kept Ryder healthy).

So I got to spend Thanksgiving with my own family.  Kathy and Jake cooked a fabulous Thanksgiving dinner. It was sooo good.  Everything was perfect.  We never took any pictures, which Kathy and I were really sad about.  We ate and visited all afternoon.  Cooper and Hailey played and played.  Cooper didn't take a nap, which was a first.  He fell asleep in the car home and slept until the next morning.  It was a great Thanksgiving spent with my little family and close friends.

Thanks Jake and Kathy!  The food was fabulous and the company even better!

October's Random Pictures

Cooper's helping me with laundry...
or not!  Hehe...it was a bit too heavy for him.
He loves screwdrivers.  We have to make sure all the outlet covers are on...you never know with this kid!
He pulled out Eric's clothes from the laundry and wanted to put them on...he loves his daddy more than anyone.  Even mommy :(
 He is a climber!
I love it when Cooper is nice to his brother and sharing a book! So cute.

 WHERE'S RYDER???
Cooper thought Ryder needed some toys.
Little Stinker!!!!!!!!!!!!!  He was purposely peeing on my pillow.  We had the pillows there because he figured out how to get out of his crib.  He would flip over the edge and land on his head. We didn't want him to hurt himself so we gave him padding.  He has stopped getting out now.  I think he hurt himself enough that he knew it wasn't a good idea anymore.
Oh boy...5 months and rocking back and forth...he will be crawling very soon I am sure!
No where better to eat a messy Popsicle than in the tub!
Poor boy fell asleep in his bouncer. Tired little guy.

 He loves this bouncer...great investment!
Cooper talking on daddy's phone at Brooklyn's soccer game!

Funny story about Cooper...He loves getting attention!  It was half-time at Easton's game and the soccer ball was sitting on the center line of the field. Cooper walked out there and kicked the ball and then turned around to the crowd and clapped his hands. (As if he was telling everyone to clap for him)  He would then kick it again, turn around clap again and see if everyone was watching him. It didn't take long before everyone was cheering for him.  He loved it!!!  He probably kicked it, clapped and waited for the crowd to cheer at least 10 times.  Everyone was laughing. I wish I had my video camera. It was so priceless.  I don't know if words can even express how funny and entertaining he was. Everyone was enjoying their "half time entertainment"

Enjoying a nice fall night before it gets too cold!
Hidden Valley's car show.  It was a fun afternoon. Daddy loved seeing all the Mustangs...he now has two he is working on. Crazy Car Man!
I would say...she looks way too good in this car!
